In Denmark, it seems almost everyone knows her and has an opinion about her. Anni Fønsby has been part of the Danish consciousness for many years. Not withstanding the fact that her trial and subsequent imprisonment were front-page news in newspapers all over the country.
In a brand new show, BBC Studios Nordic has been given the opportunity to get up close with the mother and the person, Anni. An opportunity to go behind the facade and the stereotypical portrayal of her in the press. We follow Anni from the last days in prison and into freedom where friends, challenges, joys and disappointments await.
The program is produced for SBS and premiered on the Danish TLC channel on Sunday 9 February at 10:00PM (22.00).
