drama producer
Lærke Vindahl onboards as a new fiction producer with BBC Studios Nordic Production.
Lærke Vindahl brings years of experience to the table, and will strengthen the company’s efforts in the field.
Lærke joins from a position as executive producer for TV 2 Fiction. She was also previously head of DR’s B&U department, where she was responsible for building the department’s fiction portfolio.
“Getting Lærke on board is a huge gain, as she is an experienced fiction producer with enormous knowledge in the field. She has experience from both the producer and customer side and can contribute to our strategic work. In addition, Lærke is used to navigating the crossroads between different genres and forms of production, which is a great strength.” Says fiction director Maria Hee Dreyer.
Lærke graduated from the production line at the National Film and Television School in England and has been producing content across films, TV and digital platforms for fifteen years. She has experience in a wide range of formats and also with financing and her capabilities working both fiction and non-fiction make her an excellent match for BBC Studios Nordic’s fiction department.
Lærke Vindahl herself says: “With the enormous demand for fiction in the market and the high expectations for quality and relevance from the audience, it’s a wildly exciting time to produce fiction content. BBC Studios Nordic has distinguished itself as a supplier of fiction series with both ‘journalistic research’ and ‘co – creation with the target group’ as focal points and that is something that resonates strongly with me. I look forward to contributing to further developing tools to create even more stories with originality and high dramatic quality.
As a fiction producer, Lærke Vindahl will be involved in the development and operation of BBC Studios Nordic’s fiction portfolio. She will also help develop BBC Studios Nordic’s long term fiction strategy.
“BBC Studios Nordic are the pioneers in Affordable Fiction and we maintain that focus tirelessly. At the same time, BBC Studios Nordic is constantly rethinking how to develop the fiction area further for the benefit of users and customers. We strengthen that work with Lærke on board” – says Deputy CEO and Partner Daniel Svarts.
