DR1 / BBC Studios Nordic has followed Her Royal Highness Princess Marie’s fight against food waste, both privately in her home in Paris, but also as a Princess with an important message.

The Princess, her husband Prince Joachim and the children Henrik and Athena cooks in the home in Paris, where the fridge is emptied and the Princess reveals that her husband can not cook, but that he tries his best. In Denmark, the Princess and Timm Vladimir visit a Danish primary school.

They will teach the children about food waste by collecting old vegetables from the parents and turning it into a gala dinner at school.

“I am impressed with our talented BBC Studios Nordic team Kristina Antivakis, Kristian Kæmsgaard and Anja Bundgaard, who have created two wonderful programs with HRH Princess Marie and her fight against food waste together with a Danish primary and lower secondary school. A natural and honest Princess who dares to be herself and invite us into the home in Paris with her husband HRH Prince Joachim and the children Henrik and Athena.”

Also a big thanks to the Royal House, which has given us this opportunity to portray the Princess’ important fight against food waste “, says creative director, Birgitte Koefoed, who got the idea for the series three years ago.
